I asked in the November meeting about bulk fuel and was told find some price & details & maybe some would be interested. I did find some info and here we go;
Below is some price that I’m told will change about 0.50 per gal shortly because of a major change in alcohol pricing. They will make it pretty much any way or combination we would like. He recommends the high rev for 4 stroke & Heli, he said same pricing. The synthetic oil is a higher grade and the level is about 16%, then just pick the nitro contain that we can agree on.
He sells a case of 48 1 gal. bottles for @ 48.00.
So here goes. If we looked a 55 gal drum at 20% nitro in the High rev that will be about 575.00 + 48.00= 623.00. That’s about 11.33 a gal. I would think a few of us have a few empty bottles to cover the 7 other bottles.
If enough of us can agree and some one can let us borrow a hand pump, I’d be willing to drive to this guy’s plant above Allentown and at least one person needs to come along to help to bring down 1 or 2 drums. He also sells Qt & gal size of caster oil to mix in your own if you want more, and you can add a very little bit of nitro, but he does not recommend trying to increase it that way by a large percentage.
Let’s kick this around at the next meeting before the fuel price goes up.
