Control surfaces, Elevons 2 1/2 deep and 9 inches long, hinged with packing tape.

Landing Skeg, three layers of foam cut to provide rpo clearance for 11 inch APC.

More to come soon,

Re:Winter 2005 - Electric PBF - 2007/02/20 12:29 Waiting for my receiver to arrive.
Need to connect control surfaces.

I THINK it will fly.

weight - about 8 ounces without battery & receiver & prop.

It certainly meets the club power to weight ratio.

Re:Winter 2007 - Electric PBF - 2007/02/23 10:29 Got my receiver & Prop.

she's ready to go.

Total finished weight with battery is 14.5 oz.

I think tomorrow morning will be the test flight if the wind is calm. These PBF's are not windy day planes.

Can't wait

Re:Winter 2007 - Electric PBF - It Flys - 2007/02/24 09:53

This morning my son Stephen and I went down to the park and test flew the Foamy PBF. No trimming necessary, it flem great. There was a 5 to 10 mph wind so it wasn't perfect weather but it was not a factor, except it was 25 degrees.

Stephen was my photographer and got some stills and a movie file. I will try to figure out how to post the movie file with Dave C. I will also try to draw up a DXF file with the plans and instructions.

It's a keeper.
