| Tornado Destruction |

The Southern Eagle Squadron (AMA Club #1707) suffered a huge amount
of destruction from the tornadoes that swept through the Central
Florida area on February 2, 2007. The steel storage container
at the end of the runway had two large mowers, a 3500-watt
generator, as well as miscellaneous hand tools,
shovels and such. It was lifted into the air and thrown more than
300 feet away. We had a large aluminum shelter and another
storage shed made of wood on the cement slab. Very few
pieces of the wood building could be found although we
found a roll of tickets intact next to where it was!
The club contacted me as well as AMA HQ, and we worked
to get them some funds to get the club back on its feet;
however, the amount of equipment lost will take some
time to replace. You can help the club by sending a
